"Hot Dog In A Hallway"
She'll have another piece of pie
She'll have a double reuben rye
She works hard at eating well
That's why I love her
She's got a couple of pony kegs
Her arms are bigger than my legs
And when she holds me I can't breathe
That's why I love her
I'm her butter she's my bread
She's like a mobile waterbed
And when I got on top of her
I can't touch the mattress
And when her flesh begins to sag
She's like a human sleeping bag
I feel so cozy safe and warm
She's my insulation
I always know just where she sat
And when she's on me I get flat
Some broken ribs a punctured lung
That's why I love her
She's my phillie I'm her stud
Her bean is bigger than my pud
It's like feeding a Tic-Tac to a whale
That's why I love her
She'll have another piece of pie
She'll have a double reuben rye
She works hard at eating well
That's why I love her

I've seen Felix throw that beat up ole Strat across the floor at Peter C's. This was when the stage was by the door. He was mad at it because it would not stay in tune. He picked it up, and it worked. Must have fixed it cause he did not need to throw it anymore that night.
Oh, those Thursday nights at old Peter C's. The Cane's would just do hour long jams and call it a set. Some of the best music I have ever heard. Period. (and over the years, I have probably seen over 300 bands). I miss beaning it up, under the stairs just outside the door.

That was some great music, Joe. I can remember sitting dead center about halfway back, and the mix was dead-on... Felix was doing volume swells on an Echoplex, and the notes felt like they were being thrown end-over-end, all wiggly and echoey... it was one of "those" nights. I think the best set I ever heard them play was Candlelight Night at Peter C's. They had tons of candles everywhere, and tiedye tapestries and stuff. The vibe it created was exactly what made for bluesrock nirvana as the evening progressed. I love playing with the Canes, but I'm easily as happy just listening.--->JMS
Johnny, we can agree to that. Thursday nights at Peter C's with Felix and the Hurricanes was the shiz-nit. (or whatever they say). There where whole nights were there was not one break, a set would be songs evolving into other songs, other riffs, psychedelic jams and they would do this without ever looking at each other. They read each others mind, I swear. No jam band ever had anything on them. No blues band was ever better, no rockers either.
Johnny would blow harp some night, Jason Zarechy (RIP) would jam, and that skinny guitar player form St. College, Kyle Picket would often sit in.
Some nights there would be only a handful of us taking it in. Uncle Bud was a regular then.
Felix recoded a cd from there one night that I have and it is awesome.
