Post by rickster »

I went to spencers the other day and while window shopping saw a tshirt that just screamed baddass. So I went in to check it out..
It was an affliction Tshirt hanging way up high.I asked the sales lady if i could have a closer look and she asked If i was an affliction fan.I didnt know what she was talking about so she told me it had to do with the ufc.I didnt care it was a killer shirt..Until I seen the price tag ($90).Anyways, i just seen sanchez's post about Jizz and affliction and all that and I checked out the clothing site and who Pops up?

MY WIFE WENT ON LINE AND APPLIED TO WIN FOR A BUCKELS GIFT CARD FOR $500.00 ,WELL JUST WEEKS LATER WE GOT A LETTER IN THE MAIL WITH A GIFT CARD FOR $500.00 WHICH WAS NICE CAUSE SHE HAS NEVER WON ANYTHING IN HER LIFE. SO THE WIFE GETS ON LINE AND SHOPS ON THE SIGHT AND ORDERS ME AN AFFLICITION T-SHIRT FOR ALMOST $90.00 AND ALSO BOUGHT ME SANDLES THAT RAN LIKE $120.00 AND WHEN I SEEN THAT I WAS LIKE WHAT THE F--K!!!! DONT GET ME WRONG THOSE SHIRTS ARE NICE AND COMFORTABLE BUT FOR THE PRICE, THATS JUST NUTS. I THINK IT WAS ABOUT A WEEK AFTER WE HAD WON THAT GIFT CARD WE WERE IN THE ALTOONA MALL AND STOPPED IN THE STORE THERE TO CHECK SOME OTHER STUFF OUT. AND I THINK I WAS IN THERE FOR A FEW MINUTES AND WAS RIGHT BACK OUT. THE PRICE OF THAT SHIT IS NUTS. AND MOST THOSE SHIRTS ARE PAPER THIN AND TEAR LIKE NOTHING!!!

Yea, this MMA stuff is really the thing now. You see a bunch of dudes running around thinking they are bad asses, in reality they are pussies with MMA t-shirts and hats on.

Hey, part of my fashion sense does have to do with music, especially wearing a bunch of local/regional band T's!

But I totally agree! I'm not going to pay $50 for a t-shirt. If I'm looking over shirts and the shirt is cool, if the price is cool, I'll get it. If it's that damn high, I skip and move on. Fashion shouldn't ruin finances!

i don't think that music and fashion have to be mutually exclusive as long as the image isn't more important than the content. Jimi Hendrix was one the best guitarist and dressers of his time. his image helped cement what he was expessing with his music to me. i hate seeing a band that looks like they don't care at all about image, equipment, or continuity onstage as much as i despise seeing a band that looks exactly like Bullet For My Valentine (or the flavor of the moment) with no originality and/or ability.

i still wouldn't buy a $90 shirt lol....
