Drag Me To Hell

Post by witchhunt »

I just saw it today and thought it was killer from beginning to end. This is Sam Raimi's first film in a while and he's lost nothing. I was skeptical because of the PG-13 rating. Now I'm convinced that the ratings board rates a movie on the content of actual bloodletting. There wasn't a lot of actual blood in this film but quite a bit of other bodily fluids. The special effects were perfect for the most part. I'm not gonna spoil anything but the kitten scene was great and if you're like me, you'll think you have the ending figured out 3 times and something changes. One other thing. I figure most of you have a shed, garage, or workshop. Does anyone keep a 5oo pound anvil suspended from the rafters by a rope? Just curious.

We went and saw this opening weekend. I took the whole family, man was it a blast!

The only thing missing was Bruce Campbell....

Great flick, lots of fun...

I kept watching. I thought sure he'd have a cameo.

I saw it at the Richland Cinemas and it looked great. Everything looks good on the big screen. It was extremely loud, though. Maybe I'm getting to be an "old fuck". Seriously, it was loud.

kind of excited to see this one too. Thanks for the post. I love good ol' Sam. I've been a big Evil Dead fan since way back.
Will probably try to find this online too...since I'm broke most of the time and movie ticket prices are fucked.

I just got done seeing this movie at the "Hi-Way Drive-In Route 219, Carrolltown, PA" and I spent $12 for admission for me, my wife and my son (under 5 gets in free)... I pulled in and had my own drinks and a few snacks already in my van so I did not have to buy theatre food. I am a smoker so was great to be able to "fire up" during the movie. I could control the volume to my liking because they have a radio frequency that broacasts the movie... it was way better all around then the theatres that most go to....

The movie was great! I was really glad I went to go see it. .... The ending kind of has me wondering if there will be a part 2.

I finally got to see it. It was a pretty good movie, all in all. It had a bit of a typical feel (for modern movies), and I was able to predict it fairly well... But, for all it was, it had a great few twists. I actually shivered a tiny bit at a couple scenes, and that's something I haven't done in YEARS!!! The ending itself was predictable,... But the movie ended in a grandeur you'd only expect from Raimi!

I have maybe 2 gripes through the entire thing. The first is about focus in the movie, and,... Well,... I'll leave the other one alone, as it'll give away something. Either way, it was rather worth seeing in a theater!
