I never leave home without it

Post by Colton »

my guitar that is, and thats a lie as of this weekend. Went to DC for the weekend and didnt take the damn strat. Was helping a friend move from like 8am to 6pm, and we eventually got some supper and beer. Was sitting on his front porch poundin them down kickin my own ass for not brining my fender, and all of a sudden i hear that wonderful sound of someone tunin up. Walked down the block and what do ya know, a lady sitting on her porch with a few accoustics.

Sat there and jammed for quite some time, a bunch of people walkin by ended up stoppin, and before you knew it there was a small crowd rockin out to us. It was pretty kewl. She had a nice acoustic, one with a resonator ,and then she had something ive never seen before. It was wooden, flat, shaped like a peanut, and had 5 strings. There were half walnuts put into the wood. Dunno what it is, but it was hard as shit to play.

Anyways, that was what i did this weekend. If i could get little jams and crowds like that regularly down there, id probably drop what im doin and live on the street with a guitar, haha. Oh, i got real drunk then ended up playing pats new (old ass) strat last night with the canes. Man, fender makes (well, MADE) some nice stuff. Hope i didnt hurt it, i was really rippin on the fucker.
Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.
