squire has been putting out some very decent guitars lately. i've been very impressed with the vintage modified and the classic series. they are on par or better than the mexi standard fender guitars and basses, considering the vintage modified guitars and basses usually have duncan designed pickups. the classic series basses from squire now have a hi mass bridge. they're not bad budget guitars. not to mention, anything that fits a fender fits a squire. i wouldn't be afraid to buy an affinity fat strat for something to play around on at home. would i play out with it? well... probably not without scratching the squire logo off and putting on a fender one

this.

The Squier Affinity series is the absolute bottom of the line instrument you can get with a fender headstock.

The Squier Vintage Modified and Classic Vibe Series are by all accounts pretty damned awesome.

I don't see a double humbucker model, but here's an HSS model.

Well. I received the guitar yesterday. I like it. I mean WTF...it was FREE!!

Also got the DIGITECH RP55...but it didn't even come with a power supply and I don't have batteries. If I would have known that...I would have gone used.
