I call fake. It's just too spot on perfect.

You'd think even if he did manage to slide a perfectly straight line & land "nothing but net" in the middle of that very shallow pool, he'd be a little injured or sore from the impact.

The internet is real.

Supposedly the guys on Dvice have picked it apart and say it might be real. They said if it's fake, it's one the best to come along in long time. The audio seems to be a bit too crisp, but the video doesn't have any missing frames.

Maybe he practiced until he knew he had it, I don't know. Or, his friends gave him enough substance to trust them with his life.

Either way, he's an idiot. But we all know somebody who would try it.

I'd only believe its real if he didn't go off camera at the bottom of the slide before the ramp. Too easy to do a cut there.

Until evidence is brought around to state that it's fake,... Wow!

You can tell that in mid air, that's a human instead of just a test dummy though... The person is spread out, waving very little. There's a little bit of curling up/prep for impact, but it's human-looking. The appendages aren't wavering in the air, the reactions and tightening up aren't spastic and are somewhat coordinated, and otherwise,... From a trajectory standpoint, it looks very possible

What I'm thinking is, they've done this numerous times with a weight or dummy or something, aiming and aiming until they got the angles right, then had this guy actually try it

Course, I have to wonder about the impact... if he's going at a velocity to not worry about gravity (hurting his ass on the landing), what about his forward motion? He probably had to kick at the wall, which may have shown some imprint in the vid... Like the pool may have wobbled...?

At that angle and velocity, I have to think he would skip over the water, no matter how small the pool is, like a water skier.

That.

Or he would have totally destroyed the mini pool. It wouldn't have been *plop* "I'm in the water".

Regardless, its way more realistic looking than the shit you see in a lot of movies these days.

It's cool to see if real...and pretty crazy to try.

They showed it on Attack of the Show and gave it a "Shenanigans" (Faked).
They went into why/where/how but I didn't hear what they said. Just saw
the big "SHENANIGANS" thing pop up.

Good one though.

I miss AOTS  . Van needed a new tranny, so the budget got shrunked (I know it's not a real word, haha), & we had to go to a lower tier DishTV package.

I think there's not near enough water on the slide to remove the friction a grown-ass man's body would create. Way too much speed out of the short taxi-distance to be real. Too small a target, at too shallow an angle, and not near enough water in the pool to lessen the impact of what appears to be a several-hundred foot flight. There was a video awhile back of a cheerleader falling through a bastketball hoop, that looked incredibly smooth and fluid. This looks like the same culprits. :D --->JMS

Here's an update:

Looks like Microsoft is going for a comeback. Too bad they have to start in another country.

For the record, I never said I believed it. Just thought it was cool.

Aw, no doubt, it's cool. Not to mention...summer's the PERFECT time
to get it out there so some stupid teenagers will try it themselves.
THOSE are goin' to be the videos to see!
