So the town I live in is celebrating its centennial and there is all kinds of stuff going on right around my house. The perfect time to have a yard sale. Here is what ticks me off. You put stuff out on the table for 10 cents and some douche has the nerve to say "I'll give ya a nickel for it." NO ITS A DIME. I would rather set it on fire than sell it to you for a nickel. Sorry had to get it out of my system.

I'm considering gathering up some stuff from the basement and attic and maybe doing a yard sale either this season or next spring.

My pet peeve is early birds. If I advertise that the sale doesn't start until 9 AM, I don't need people pestering me at 7 AM while I'm just starting to put stuff out. So I plan to indicate in any advertising and signage that early birds pay double, and I'll stick to it.

And yes, the haggling over a nickel is ridiculous. If somebody has to haggle down from 10 cents to a nickel, that's pretty pathetic.

Last summer we had a yard sale and my boy was trying to sell his old game systems so he could get an XBOX. He had it all out along with the games. He looked around the internet and in classifies to see what they were selling for....

That Doctor from Philipsburg that got into all sorts of trouble for illegally prescribing medications came by....and talked the boy into taking a lower amount. If it were someone that didn't have the money I could see it...but to do that when you had all sorts of cash in your pocket to a kid is just ridiculus. I was glad they found him guilty.

I am a Professional Yard Saler since we sold the bar I have made it my job to become a pro at junking ....
YARD SALE RULES:
No#1 If you want a dime for it price it for a quater yard sales are for hageling.
No#2 If you want people there at 9pm advertise it for 10pm (unless you post no early birds most people will respect that).
No#3 Please advertise your address and times corectly.
