I took Tae Kwon Do when I was a child for a brief time, & one thing my Sensei taught us was martial arts is for defense & discipline. It's a method of learning self-control & inner peace.
We never saw anything this barbaric. I remember one time a kid accidentally got hit in the temple & knocked out & our Sensei stopped the match & had another instructor take him to the ER to get checked. He always put our welfare first.
