Well, you wouldn't think an Iraq vet would shoot anybody either, but he did, and that's precisely what I was "aiming at." The GodnGuns'ers live in a world where, if everybody carried a gun, you could trust everyone. Sounds pretty naive if you say it like that. Everybody has the right to bear arms, even people who can't be trusted. Nobody wakes up and says, "I'm gonna put a hole in a guy today."
Gangmembers might, I suppose... but Central PA isn't really a hotbed of gang activity, and even if it were, I'm still not askeerd, because I have the law on my side. If we were to simply ENFORCE the laws we have, instead of end-running them at gun shows, etc. and calling that "exercising our 2nd Amendment right," there'd be a lot less illegal weapons in the hands of retards. All guns are manufactured legally, except for zip-guns and such. It's what happens after that, that gets them in the hands of the bad guys.
There's also no need for assault rifles in the hands of the general public. Home protection? No way, man, close quarters with an AR-15? Poor choice. 40-cal handgun for me... more compact, easily hidden, readily available, grab/aim/fire (if the bad guy hasn't already perforated you). AR-15 for target shooting? Riiiight. SO many better choices, for far less money, too. Nope, the only reason you need a semi-auto military rifle is because you are compensating for your little weenie.
Give me a 30-30 for deer, a 12-gauge for smaller game, a .22 for plinking, and cheapo handgun for the 1-in-175,000 chance that someone comes into my house uninvited.
AR-15 at a political appearance? A year ago that guy would have been labeled a terrorist.--->JMS

Yeah, this year people with Ron Paul bumper stickers on their cars are labeled domestic terrorists. Did you forget this? I don't remember you getting all ticked off at the B. Hussein justice department for this.
