Sad News from the Squared Circle...

Post by Jim Price »

Captain Lou Albano passed away at age 76. The story:

I remember hearing Sean McKay interview Captain Lou on WFBG one time when the WWF was visiting the Jaffa Mosque. I think Lou even did a liner for Sean's show.

Was the first "manager" for Hulk Hogan when this really got going in the WWE. After it got "outta hand" and became more of a show, Albano got out. But, will always be remembered by getting an arm bar put on him by "daughter" Cyndi Lauper in the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" vid.
RIP CAPTAIN LOU!!!

Hey JP,
Do you have a direct line with the Angel of Death? You know when someone dies before they do. Check on my number, would ya please?

Classy Freddy Blassie was Hogan's manager

But Cap'n Lou Cap'n Lou was the best.
I always looked forward to seeing him when they used to come to the Jaffa.
