BRUTAL LEGEND....

Post by MOONDOGGY »

I haven't touched a video game in many years (except the occasional family Wii tournaments). THIS however, this will probably be the cause of a deep addiction to video games:

http://www.brutallegend.com/home.action

Is it me or is this the best thing to happen to video games since Mario?

C'mon! Lemmy, Ozzy, Halford, and Jack Black to name a few! It really doesn't get better than that. Metal is back.

I'm currently playing Fallout 3 GOTY Edition, and I'm addicted. Brutal Legend seems pretty cool, but I won't shell out 60 bucks for it. Next on the list: COD Modern Warfare 2, then I'll get around to playing Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

I'm still coding c++ for trinitycore (world of warcraft)

The current project I'm on(started, and manage actually) is called 'Trinity Zero', its a mmorpgngos* for the original WoW, back in its glory days before Blizzard got money hungry and ruined their game with kid oriented expansions.

I've yet to see a game stand up to what WoW originally did. All these FPS games that come out nowadays feel like the original duke nuke'm or quake to me. Same damn thing, point gun, shoot, yay.

Actually, as far as FPS go, nothing stands up to CounterStrike.

Yeah. Point gun, shoot... yay. Not put on adult diaper, take supplements, fetch Red Bull from mom's fridge, affix headset, take more supplements, log on, make conversation with other nerds, set to battle for 12 hours.
Point gun, shoot.
Yay.

I hardly ever play video games anymore, and when I do, it's usually some Tom Clancy FPS from the cut-out bin at Ollie's Bargain. :) I get tired of them way too fast, but I do still occasionally break out Doom, Quake, or one of the other Wolfenstein progeny.--->JMS

Right now, I'm into Little Big Planet, Dirt 2, Dead Space, and I can't wait for Forza 3. I wanna get Uncharted 2 as well. Hey Kev, be careful with Fallout 3, I've logged probably a couple hundred hours into that game. Totally addictive.

Jeez, I didn't realize how many hardcore gamers there were on here! I guess hardcore musicians and hardcore gamers can go hand in hand and be one in the same!

I'm playing thru the first Uncharted right now before I get the next. Still playing tons of halo 3 and ODST (firefight fucking rules) This Tuesday I'm picking up my preorders of Forza 3 and Ratchet and Clank (they seem "Kiddie" but they're not, most jokes are very adult oriented like a pixar movie) and then on Nov. 10th....I have 2 copies of Modern Warfare 2 preordered. (I got the special edition XBox 360 that comes witha copy of the heroic edition of the game, 250GB HDD, 2 controllers/headsets, and a special paint job.) and I got the special edition game for the PS3 with the NVG's. And is anyone else excited for God of War III coming out in march?

Back to Brutal Legend, I played the demo on 360, and it was TONS of fun and hilarious! It's a total buy (but it'll have to wait until i get some down time from all of the ones I have coming and by then, it might be cheaper)

grid is dirt on pavement. if you like to tinker with cars, like upgrades and whatnot, probably not the best game, but the graphics are awsome and the in car view is probably the best ever. the gameplay is good. really good. i like how if you screw up massively you can rewind the replay and pick it up before you screwed up. forza 3... it'll pwn all.

Big ups to that, I still play the hell outta Forza 2. when we all get Forza 3 we should set up some "Rockpage only" races online, if we get enough people, maybe we could get a nice lil tourney going.

I can't agree more about Fallout 3. I got pulled into that game and logged about 200 hours on it. One of the best games I've ever played.

Dead space was great as well. Res Evil 5 was great, too.

I logged about 300 hours in ES IV: Oblivion for 100% completion. Fallout 3 is also from Bethesda Software, so the gameplay is similar, but with the GOTY Edition , ya get all 5 expansion packs, so I'm easily looking at 500 to 600 hours for 100%. Plus, you can be good or evil, so the replay is massive. I'm screwed. By the time I get done, Gran Tourismo 5 may actually be out.

Oh, and for the PS3 owners online, my gamertag: screamkevin
I play COD5 online. Come get pwned.

I play the shit out of Halo 3 still. I love that freakin game, it is getting a little bit old, I didnt get to try the new halo out, but i heard its good. I played Fable 2 until i hit a spot towards the very end of the fucking game that was a game breaking glitch and there is no patch to fix it in game, you have to get the patch then start over...i say FUDGE THAT! I worked too hard on that game to do that. (I know, im behind the times on this shit, im not your ordinary musician, i have a job....but only to pay my child support) lol

I am currently playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days on DS and I restarted playing Assassin's Creed again on PS3 to refresh myself for the sequel due out next month. I also can't wait to get my hands on COD MW2. I think somewhere too, on my PS2, I am making my way through Final Fantasy 12...I think. I have too many going on at one time!

I am a HUGE gamer.

I played the demo of Brutal Legend on PS3, it was cool in a goofy kind of way. Nothing I would buy, but definitely worth a rent.

I can't wait for Modern Warfare 2! This game is going to be sick!

Recently played Uncharted 2 (one of the best looking games ever & it is awesome to boot), & playing/testing on the Test Center for the Star Wars Galaxies Emu project.

Anyone on PS3 look me up! PSN: Tegamal

It's badass! The first one is only $30 now.

I paid $60 & I don't feel I over-payed.
