for as much as Kerry King slams/slammed the production of Metallica's Death Magnetic, it's ironic how close both albums are mixed and produced. super dry and no saturation in the guitars with the drums really loud and snappy. i pretty sure they used the same engineer and got pretty much the same sound. what an asshole.

I didn't know of this Death Magnetic slamming from Kerry King but if its true thats BS.. Death Magnetic ruled.. Don't get me wrong I like Slayer but i dunno, too much of it gets old..

Don't get me wrong I love me some Slayer, but they're the AC/DC of thrash metal. After the first few measures anyone who's heard them once can recognize the sound of Slayer. A little more diversity would be nice.

that maybe why slayer sounds like slayer. This isn't metallica where they change their sound for different records. things like that attract different people. slayer is targeting their fans who like what they do so why change if your already successful at what your doing.

I dont generally like getting into these pissing contests because there is no winner.

Every band offers "something". All of these bands have sold many, many CDs and have lots of fans. So, whether you like them or not, you cant deny they offered "something" that many people enjoyed. People define talent in different ways. Whats the point in arguing who is better or more talented.

Personally, I dont like Slayer or Metallica, but I would never say they suck...they just dont offer the "something" I care for.

And for the record, gosteelers, I like Bush, but they were the most boring band Ive ever seen LIVE (that youtube clip even reinforced it for me).
