Bill Gates drops a fifty
So... if Bill Gates drops a 50 dollar bill it costs him more to pick it up than to let it there?

Why...really, please answer this, why didn't you care about this when Reagan, Bush and W were the GREATEST offenders of increasing the deficit ?
Because Beck and Limbaugh didn't tell you, so you never knew ?

Obama is the one who put us at 12 trillion, plus an additional trillion per year for the next ten years. It is time to stop blaming the others. You can't spend the whole Presidency blaming the previous administration.Hawk wrote:Why...really, please answer this, why didn't you care about this when Reagan, Bush and W were the GREATEST offenders of increasing the deficit ?

I'll yell so you can hear me. WE WERE OVER TEN TRILLION IN DEBT BECAUSE OF THE FORMENTIONED PRESIDENTS, BEFORE OBAMA BECAME PRESIDENT.
Again you show your stupidity not knowing our debt BEFORE Obama became president. It was even on the link you read for a half hour regarding Obama policies. Apparently you didn't read it !

Re: National Debt Clock: Real Time ...
I don't pay attention to what Obama says. How's that for support? I do get a kick at how some of you idio, I mean people piss, moan , bitch and cry about every damn thing that he does just because he' s not a conservative. Messiah, I dn't think so, that's absolutely rediculous. I do believe, however, that he knows how to do his job a tad bit better than say, f.sciarillo or maybe, let's say undercoverjoe. Two of the biggest crybabies on this board. So really, after eight years oh so successful Bush (and I really didn't have anything against him until his Iraq blunder),f.sciarrillo wrote:Believe what you want. Well, that is if Obama tells so anyhow ...shredder138 wrote:I'll bet that's accurate.
you're not going to let the next guy have his four before you start throwin around your hatred for him, and name calling people who aren't as against him as you are. I guess maybe you could find it funny to to just be a jackass on a message board, if that's the case then it shows your maturity level.

I know the facts. You are unlearned because you don't know the facts. It's everywhere man ! There was a great debt which increased greatly under Bush, Bush and Reagan. Clinton did not contribute to the deficit at all. Please do some reliable research. You should try it sometime. It can be enlightening. The facts are out there if you look for them. It's not an Olberman made up story. Damn, I even told you it was on the link you gave to me to read.f.sciarrillo wrote:So I am unlearned because I don't believe what Olberman says? so be it. I know we would enjoy a few beers together. The bottom line is always the same, we want what's best for the USA. We just have differing opinions on how to get there.

Re: National Debt Clock: Real Time ...
You know how most people drive 70mph in the 65mph zones on roads like I99 and the speed trap doesn't bother with them because its too close to the limit? Its only a fraction higher than the speed limit, so they watch for the 80+ crowd.Hawk wrote:After this, my unlearned friend, I might just give up on you.f.sciarrillo wrote:Obama is the one who put us at 12 trillion, plus an additional trillion per year for the next ten years. By the same token, debt was accumulating all those years at a similar pace--at just a fraction of the GDP. We were cruising along at 70 mph in a 65 zone for decades and then, all of a sudden, you hear that giant sucking sound as the blower kicks in and bam, just like that, we are going 125mph in a 55 zone...
There are deficits and then there are DEFICITS
I've been complaining about this debt for decades now, but I am not uninformed or naive enough to blame this solely or even mainly on the executive branch...only partisans with an agenda do that. Even though the Presidents have been complicit, the problem lies in Congress. 535 politicians whose sole purpose in life is to get re-elected by spending our tax money foolishly as kickbacks for their constituents. Congress comes up with so much bullshit in these huge spending bills that its nearly impossible to figure anything out, let alone balance the budget.
Here is the bottom line fact of the matter:
Since the Vietnam War, no democratic Congress has ever passed a balanced budget and no republican President has ever signed one.
...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...
Re: National Debt Clock: Real Time ...
Now that's someone who knows what their talking about and can back it up. Way beyond any Beck Limbaugh rhetoric. Thanks Jeff.lonewolf wrote:

I can't say when, but there will be 2 major events that will signal its coming:PStl wrote:So, with this amazing debt, plus the unfunded liabilities, and the dollar printing, when does the other shoe drop on this economy?
1) Demand for US Treasury paper at low interest rates will dry up.
2) The Federal Reserve Bank will begin to raise the overnight and discount interest rates.

wouldn't it suck
Wouldn't it suck if we were forced to produce something again?
How do you fix an economy where the minimum wage has to be enforced by the government because if it wasn't greedy companies would not pay people enough to live?
Where retired people have to pay $300 a month for the "newest" medication so that they can breath, and even though we are all giddy with fucking delight at our health care system they (health care system) don't pay for the medicine?
Where you would have to have 3 adults working full time for minimum wage to pay the mortgage on an average house? I am all for threesomes but....
I mean really, what shoe could drop? Isn't the only real answer to tear it down and start again? In life sometimes situations get to the point where you look and even though it is painful you realize that this is not going to work, you have to start from scratch.
Look at the joke that we call politics and realize that the servant has become the master and that we are all the tools...
And this is not negative, anyone with any spiritual sense knows that this world of greed and corruption can only get worse. We are tasked as human beings to be the best that we can be amongst the chaos and deception...
sound like a new song in there somewhere....

And how did this happen, Dave?tornandfrayed wrote:Look at the joke that we call politics and realize that the servant has become the master and that we are all the tools...
It was the one thing that the founders of this country feared most:
The people allowed the federal government to get too big and gave it too much power.
The sad thing is: The people asked for it.
Of course, you know the old saying...be careful what you ask for...

Actually according to PA vehicle code (Title 75), Chapter 33, Section 3368, part C, paragraph 4... Using an electronic measuring device to measure a vehicle going >55mph, you need to be exceeding the limit by 6 mph or more before you can be convicted of speeding unless in a school zone or active work zone. Or exceeding the limit by 10 mph if the speed limit is less than 55mph and a non-radar device is used...lonewolf wrote:You know how most people drive 70mph in the 65mph zones on roads like I99 and the speed trap doesn't bother with them because its too close to the limit? Tire size falls into that category as well? The way I was always told was they give you the 6 mph difference because of how inconsistent the speedometers are - Which is used based on the size of the tire ? ...JackANSI wrote:Actually according to PA vehicle code (Title 75), Chapter 33, Section 3368, part C, paragraph 4... I have found that analogies work better when you use round numbers and don't saddle the reader with unnecessary information that could also lead to a hijack.JackANSI wrote:Actually according to PA vehicle code (Title 75), Chapter 33, Section 3368, part C, paragraph 4...
