Why there are bands constantly looking for drummers

I was just looking at the musicians wanted posts on the site and at last count I saw 9 bands who are looking for drummers. Is there an epedemic or something going on with drummers?
I really dont want to go into the details of why our (No Guarantee) drummer left, but holy kick bass batman, what is going on? I know and understand that drummers are some times under appreciated and not in the spotlight a lot, but jumpin Jesus on a pogo stick what the hell is goin on?

I'm thinking that it must be some kind of conspiracy. Somebody needs to give Glenn Beck a heads up so he can explain it with his chalkboard.

Perhaps there's more going on at these drum nights than just swapping paradiddle stories?

Because drumming is the hardest instrument to play...

It's just the nature of things, drummers are just hard to find.

Actually I notice it going in spurts between bass players and drummers . Guitar players and vocalists are the ones that are usually trying to put the bands together to suit their style. I actually had about 6 responses wich I was really suprised of with all the drummer ads up. I think we got a good one but he's got another band to try out for this weekend so we'll see what happens.

Every drummer I've ever worked with were a pain in the ass & I wanted to pound them at every practice.

It's hard to find a drummer that isn't a douche, but they are out there.

This is all just my opinion based on my old drummers, though.

Colton's probably got it. Not many want to play bass...there's no "Bass Hero" video game. There's a shortage of drummers because once somebody finds one, they fight all they can to keep them.
But us, we're a dime a dozen.

I don't know I had more replies in my want add for a drummer than I did in the one looking for a 2nd guitar player.
