Probably a lot more but i don't feel like surfing around a whole lot.
A lot of punk rock bands are still kicking it like, NOFX, Bad Religion, Social D., Bouncing Souls, The Misfits(whats left), The Subhumans, Left over Crack, Cock Sparrer, The Queers, and so on and so on.
The underground punk scene though pretty dead in Altoona in a lot of bigger cities its booming.
Here are some videos for some more shits and giggles of the Underground scene.

The script was written, and the villian was cast. The provocation needed, they will provide. They did it before, they'll do it again.

Another local punk name that quickly popped into my mind: The Whatleys from State College (
www.myspace.com/whatleyspunk ).
Like a lot of music, punk has stretched out into a lot of different stylistic areas over the years. There's more variety out there under the "punk" banner, but also old-school traditional late '70s versions as well.

Changes / Space Oddity from your link are not Ziggy Stardust They are Bowie but they where not from the Ziggy Stardust work.
This was a fine album in the 70s and I still listen to it to this day, CD is in my truck.

Bowie was only Ziggy for that one concept album "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars".
He has taken on many persona's.
One of my favorite Bowie albums was "The Man Who Sold The World". I think this was a couple of years before the Ziggy concept. Google or YouTube it definitely an album you want if you are a Bowie fan.
Like most artists I think his earlier music was better. Seems fame ruins a lot of good musicians.

its a mix of both...its what punk has turned into. They call it crust punk (at least the first few i just picked those randomly)
