When you have a gig some where do you tip the bartender, who keeps you in beer or what ever your drinking at the time ?
What about if you run up a hugh tap, and the owner takes care of it for you? Do you feel like you don't have to tip or that your owed what you got?
Just asking, laying it out there.

I agree! I tip for water too just because it's the right thing to do. A band can't go wrong keeping the staff happy. Yes your right! I have even got a band booked where I work because I told the owner they were great!
I always tip for any liquid they pass me, and usually more than the couple cents change. I know how hard those folks work sometimes, and we always plug the bartenders on mic.

We make the announcement before we start, during, and after we're done to tip/take good care of the servers and/or the bar tenders.
Personally, I rarely drink anything during a gig except Coke. Often, when a server brings us something, we all tip her. One Coke = 5 tips, One Coke and two beers = 5 tips, etc. Some of the crowd sees that and it sometimes pries loose a little more tip money from those otherwise less likely to do so.
Always, always, always take proper care of the servers.
