Drum Sampling? Sequence? IDK?

Sorry for my ignorance in this area, what equipment am i looking for?

need ability to take any length audio file (wav or mp3) that is on a jump drive and trigger it to start when i hit a pad. the track will play until finished through the PA system.

Someone else probably has a better idea, but you'll need some kind of triggering system. You could shell out a few hundred dollars to get a pre-made one, but from what I understand it's fairly easy to make your own out of pezio condensers. From there you can plug them into a drum brain or an interface/mixer of some sort and run it out of the PA.

I think that's how it works anyway ???

After some youtube research i realize this is what i need.


Roland SPD-S Sampling Percussion Pad

but it isn't cheap :(

IMO the Roland Sampling pad will be worth the money. If you try to cut corners or bastardize some other equipment, it will just be trouble.
