My understanding was that it John Mellencamp was doing it also. They need to get Tom Petty back to do it. He was the best one they had.

I liked the Tom Petty show, but I think my favorite was Prince. I thought that was the best halftime show I'd seen ever.

Why? So she can either fake it by lipsyncing or using pitch transposers OR worse use none of that and prove how ridiculously UNTALENTED she is?

The latter would be funny, really, but the sheep who've been duped all these years would still call it amazing...

I agree that Gaga is basically Madonna with talent. She actually plays an instrument, and really does write catchy pop songs. Not my cup of tea per se, but far more talented than Madonna. That said, I usually switch to video of puppies playing during the half-time show of the Superbowl.

Gaga? Over Madonna? I don't think Gaga has the staying power that Madonna has, although time may prove me wrong.

If they're gonna keep with the older guys/gals, what about Charlie Daniels? Some of his stuff is more rock than country, and you could bring in some really big surprise guests to perform with him.
