Rest In Peace Coach Paterno
A sad day today in Happy Valley. You will be missed and thank you for all of the stellar years at PSU.

Clearly a sad day.
Joe Paterno and Penn State are a thread that has been interwoven through most of my own life; I became aware of Penn State as a youngster because of Joe and the football program, eventually enrolled and earned a degree at Penn State, and became a part of the Penn State family. Joe's values of hard work, honesty, and soldiering on when the chips are down have been values that I aspire to in my own life.
I met Joe once during my college days, a quick 2-second exchange of 'hello's' while we passed each other on a sidewalk on the University Park campus. Yet because his iconic influence was ever-present as a thread in my life, Joe's passing feels similar to losing a family member. R.I.P. Joe, and thanks for your lessons, humility and humanity.

I have been listening and watching all the tributes and "he was such a great man". However, why wait until the man is dead before showing support. Makes me crazy. Especially that damn hypocrite Corbett, who was supposed to be A.G. at the time. Where the hell was he? And, isn't that a bit of a conflict of interest? Attorney General and on the board. Joe Paterno has been a scapegoat. They were just looking for a reason to get rid of him. Yes, he did need to retire, but they didn't need to take away his dignity and everything he has done for that organization. That whole board needs to rot in hell
