I say good for the refineries. But it isn't the reason prices are at record numbers.

I know you barry lovers will never admit to that. You get too much of a shiver up your leg every time he talks.
So what is your response to the USA Today article ? Did you readt it ?

I'm a liberal. Obama just happens to me on my side. Not the opposite way around...
First: I want to see it from another source as well.

Second: It is a good thing if it is true.

Third: I don't believe it is the reason prices are so high.
What ? Supply and demand ? Supplies up, demand down should lower prices. That's what we've been told since Obama became president. Remember "Drill baby drill ? Now you admit that over supply DOESN'T lower gas prices and yet you still manage to blame Obama ?

I all one watches is CNN, Fox, and MSNBC, (or listens to Limbaugh, Colmes, etc.), you're still only getting one side of the story...the big government, pro-establishment, pro-authoritarian take. Whether you wish to assign an R or a D to your big government, pro establishment, pro authoritarian candidate is merely a matter of personal preference.

If you are getting to opposing views of the issue. And making your own decision on the matter. You are doing good. Which is why I watch all them and listen to all them.

I didn't say over supply doesn't lower prices, you are putting words into my mouth. I blame obama for most of it because there is oil in this country that we can be drilling for, but he doesn't allow it. If he would allow it, you would see the prices go down. You remember Bush lifting the embargo in the gulf? Prices went down. If Obama would do the same, prices would go down. If he would let drilling in Anwar, prices would go down. Mainly because we would be less dependent on foreign oil. Which is what he wants. It is always help others before yourself mentality he has. This country needs fixed first.

We have enough natural gas in this country to last the next century. We should be drilling for that as well. We have enough oil in this country to last maybe longer than that, we should be drilling for it. Wouldn't you love to say that we are not dependent on countries who hate us and raise the prices in an effort to bankrupt us?

The only opposing views you are being spoonfed is a decision between being hit by a right hook or a left hook. They all ultimately support the same bully wielding both fists. It's called a false bifurcation and it's a tactic the American populace have eaten up. What flavor the Kool-Aid is is secondary to the poison contained therein.

You know, now that I think about this. I think getting a left and right hook would be a good way to make you think down the middle.

I have a question: Shouldn't the decision to drill or not drill be made my Congress?? I'm confused as to why the President is telling a company that they aren't allowed to do something.
Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.

I don't understand it either. But it is one of the things the President decides. Congress probably could pass a bill lifting the moratorium but Obama would never sign it.

Its the executive branch's responsibility to issue the permit...or not.

Congress cannot make the decision, but they can and did send an order to place a deadline on the President's decision on the matter. The President decided to deny the permit.

The Keystone XL extension was proposed in 2008. The application was filed in the beginning of 2009 and the National Energy Board of Canada started hearings in September 2009. It was approved by the National Energy Board on March 11, 2010. The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission granted a permit on February 19, 2010.

On January 18, 2012, President Obama rejected the application, stating that the deadline for the decision had "prevented a full assessment of the pipeline's impact."

Thanks for clearing that up, Jeff. I was hoping that you or someone else who knows more about it would respond.

"Imagine this family budget:

Last year, you earned $24,700. But you spent $37,900, incurring $13,300 in debt, and you were already $153,500 in debt.

So you say, "I promise I'll spend $300 less this year!"

Anyone can see that your cutback is pathetic and that you need to spend much less.

Yet if you add eight zeroes, that's America's budget. "

I think they will be tingling in both legs tomorrow. Especially if he blames big oil.

I wonder if he will eliminate all the loopholes that his buddies at GE (owners of MSNBC) used to pay ZERO income taxes last year? GE had a record year with a 77% increase in profits, yet paid ZERO corporate taxes. Then, the leader of Obomunism appointed the CEO of GE as his chief economic adviser.

But the koolaid drinkers will tell you that democrats are not owned by big business. Ha ha ha ha.

joe watches Fox Bidness. CNBC is obviously owned by Microsoft and (gasp) NBC. You know, the "liberal lamestream" media.

Fox gets more viewership on cable because moderates and the vast majority of liberals don't need the constant barrage of propaganda to formulate an opinion, nor the constant validation and indoctrination. MSNBC just isn't as necessary. As for bias, if Fox is biased, you should have no problem with MSNBC... if you're a free-thinker.
