While playing a gig the head bartender feared the PLCB was in the house, so we were denied alcohol while we were playing on stage.
Valid law or just paranoia?

I suppose there could be some validity to a fear of giving you "free" booze, but for all anybody knows the band runs a tab. Being that you're not a venue employee (technically a subcontractor), you get to make your own rules about your conduct on the job.
Of, course, Drumming Under the Influences affects us all...
I smell BS.
