I've had very few friends screw me over. That's why I can afford to not speak to someone that would do that. I have no use for people like that in my life, and though I'll eventually forgive them, that doesn't mean I'll speak to them again.

I wouldn't use the word "friend" to describe someone who does that. Friends don't; that's why they're friends.
