HOMEGROWN ROCKER 5/25/25 (MEMORIAL DAY SPECIAL)

Post by Jim Price »

Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the May 25 edition of “The Homegrown Rocker,” which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on Q94 Classic Rock (www.q94classicrock.com), and from 10 PM to midnight on 107.1 and 101.3 Jack FM (www.1071jack.fm)!

Since it was Memorial Day weekend, we kept with tradition on the "Homegrown Rocker" and presented the 2025 edition of our "Memorial Day Special!" And again, we took our annual trek down "Local Music Memory Lane" to hear music from past bands and artists of the area music scene! Every song we heard on this week's program was from before 2005, and we broke out numbers from the early 2000s, 1990s, 80s, 70s and even 1960s - including several songs and curios we had never aired on the program before! And also as part of the special, we paid homage to some of the area musicians we lost along the way. (For those who missed the program, a four-part podcast of this show is available for listening or download from Q94’s website, www.q94classicrock.com. Click on “The Professor’s Classroom,” and then scroll down to “Homegrown Rocker Podcast” and look for the four show segments marked with the date, 052525.)
