The Monkeys.......oh no.........did I say that

Acyually I did. Good hooks, good writting (mostly Boyce and Hart) and very high end studio musicians doing the playing.

Did you know that "Last Train to Clarksville" was a war protest song ?

My favorite musician actually kinda gets a bad rap by some because of the whole " guy playing a flute thing ". And thats Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull. Musical and Lyrical genius. :)

I dig a lot of that femmy sounding 80's british synth pop. XTC, The Smiths. I have a Squeeze CD that I listen to every couple of years that makes my wife give me weird looks.

I may also be the biggest straight male that likes Ani Difranco. It took two posts to admit that. I feel dirty now.

Nightwish.

I'm not afraid to admit it on RP because everyone here still understands how much they rock. But most of my friends who don't play only hear the operatic vocals and think it's retarded!

I like Adam Ant.
It's slightly embarrassing, but necessary. Remember when he did a guest spot on Northern Exposure? I almost DIED! :D

LMAO! HEXHED did their version of that last night and yes, I actually DID spin right 'round.

Btw, I just love your quote.

Herald, you have to admit it, or you're not Posting properly.

John Denver...but I admitted that a long time ago. I like a lot of Kid Rock's tunes - he can ROCK and Prince's, as well. I have a feeling there are others out there who like them too...

Another vote for the Monkees, and also another or John Denver. Also - Journey (Neil Schon kicks ass).

JOURNEY? Are you kidding me? "Infinity" and "Evolution" are 2 of my all time favs...well, I have/had the 8 Tracks, now I have the CDs. They have so many more great tunes than the ones heard on the radio, too... and "Departure", "Captured", "Escape", "Frontiers", "Raised On Radio" - that's the only cassette - "Greatest Hits", as well as "Trial By Fire"...I own them all, so they definitely get a "HELL YEAH"! :)
