I never heard Chevelle live so I take your word on that. Have you heard much Black Label? Im not knockin your tastes bro, but I just cant see anybody being into metal and not liking BLS. But hey to each their own.

Ozzfest has been going down hill for the last few years anyway. The tiket prices go up every year. Its just becoming more and more corporate. Lawn seats used to be about 20 bucks. That was a good deal. I didnt make it last year so im not sure how much they were. Back in '99 I got pit tikets for $55 with the service charge. That was probably my best concert experience ever. Being five feet away from Sabbath, Slayer, SOAD and the Def Tones while getting pure stage sound because the p.a. was behind me. I dont think I'll ever be able to top that. Unless I get to acctually PLAY at Ozzfest. That would top it.

POD was at Ozzfest, sheesh. I saw POD at the RR Town Fair, and don't get me wrong, I thought they were excellent! From what I've heard, Disturbed has been at the RR Town Fair two or more years in a row...
It seems that the powers that be are trying to make Ozzfest more "mainstream".

Maybe all us rockpagers should throw a little miny fest ourselves this year. What do you all say. The line up would have to be better than what they have been picking for Ozzfest the last several year. Jason/CYPHIN

Ozzy (at this show), SOAD, Disturbed, Hatebreed, Lacuna Coil, BLS, Atreyu, Bleeding Through, Unearth, Norma Jean, Strapping Young Lad, Red Chord, Walls of Jericho, Between The Buried and Me, Full Blown Chaos, A Life Once Lost, All That Remains

Not too bad. I'd go for SOAD, Disturbed, Hatebreed Lacuna Coil, Red Chord, Full Blown Chaos, and All That Remains. Atreyu, Bleeding Through, Unearth, and A Life Once Lost aren't too bad either.

A local music festival...good idea. Lets call it 'GAUZE FEST'. Because of the bandages that will be handed out!

There are, at tops, 4 bands I wouldn't mind seeing at Ozzfest this year, and I have already seen 2 of them. Horrible, horrible lineup in my opinion. I will save my money this year.

I'm up for the local-fest though.

if we make it a benefit, i'm sure we can get the sound and venue at a discount. have an awesome fest (the mud, the blood, and the beer fest) and have a great cause. what more could you want???

How about an event with an entire weekend of Musical and Metal mayhem? More akin to the "Malevolent Metalfest" of 2001...minus Mushroomhead, of course! :D

The M. Metalfest was held in Titusville, too far...the site where the End of Summer Jam is at is a decent location, outside of Cresson. I'm fairly certain the campgrounds in Huntingdon County where the Hoedown is held every year are exclusive to it. I don't know of any places in Blair County. Maybe others know of other places.

What about the PPG Pavilion anyone know who to contact regarding this place? Maybe JP, I know Q94 has used the facility.

Yeah, I would stuff the ballot box to get Coinmonster on the bill! They deserve so much more respect and attention than they get.

I don't like it when bands that are supposed to be "Christian" play predominantly secular events. Like Pillar and Switchfoot both toured clubs last year. I am not saying you can't be a Christian and enjoy secular events, I just think that bands that have a more praise and spiritual focus should stick with events/venues that promote that sort of vibe.
