Why is there a need for choosing? I'll listen to both.orangekick wrote:Hmm... Let me see... Would I rather listen to Zeppelin or Cream? Uh, that'll be Zeppelin every time.Gallowglass wrote:"'Led Zeppelin, you’re crap. You’ve always been crap and you’ll never be anything else.'"
Harsh words from Jack Bruce. Later he semi-recanted and said he was just having a "bit of fun with the press".

Hmmmm... that really leaves open a lot of possibilities. I'm going to guess
that midgets, chickens, rope, Crisco, and a rubber thong are involved.
Either you have psychic powers that make Geller and Cayce look like
Carnival-fare, or you have WAY too much access to my bank account

Actually, while I guess I'd prefer Zep to Cream, still love them both.
Zep's "older" stuff the most (Mainly I-IV).
First, they're all probably great friends and there was probably a lot
of humour, and mebbe a back story, that none of us will ever know.
THAT being said, and Jack Bruce is one of my favourite bass players,
and singers, ever...he can be...something. But, I think the best work
Clapton ever did, easily, was in Cream (And I know many would disagree.
BUT, this is music and a place where opinions are equal) so maybe it's
a good thing for him. Heck...he is Jack Bruce after all.
I can't say I'm a big Zakk Wylde fan. Obviously, he's a great player,
though I think he could lay off the pinch harmonics a while. But, disagree
with him...and that's okay...but the thing about him needin' a shower...
that was just funny. Come on. Heck, I like Shawn McGowen and he's
quite possibly the stinkinest drunk you'll ever find! If anything, it's a plus
for him.
Oh yeah...YOKO RULED. LALLLALLALALLALA...okay...That's not true...
can't even joke about it...WHY, JOHN, WHY?!?!?!?!?!?

I love Zep, I love Zakk. I like Cream too. I usually don't agree with 100% of what anyone says, least of all possibly rock luminaries who make their lifestyle out of being "over the top". I think some of the stuff Zakk says is hilarious, though. I also think a lot of times there are probably back stories to things like the Bruce affair that we'll never know about. It's all a bit interesting.
LOL, Yeah, & it appears that Jack Bruce needs to be committed for an extended stay in the "White Room"!!!!metalchurch wrote:Haha jesus! Must have been the result of drinking too many Strange Brews.
I've drank enough beer to float a battleship! Go ahead and Rock & Roll all night if you can but don't party every day!
Phew. Must be a strange brew indeed. Purple horses running down moonbeams? WTF?Drum-Wolf wrote:LOL, Yeah, & it appears that Jack Bruce needs to be committed for an extended stay in the "White Room"!!!!metalchurch wrote:Haha jesus! Must have been the result of drinking too many Strange Brews.
My brother once took...something...and saw Smurfette chasing a Dr. Pepper machine down
railroad tracks...not even sure that compares with the purple horse/moonbeam scenario.

In the mid 70's, myself and a group of great friends went to an all day concert which included Santana and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. We just happened to sit next to 4 guys who just drove in from Arizona, and had a very large bag of freshly picked peyote buttons.
Well....on the way home that night, several of us kept seeing the Charlie Brown and Snoopy characters on the side of N.Y Rte 17. We probably should have picked them up for a ride.

Wow, WickedNest needs to switch to decaf!!! Start a thread about celeb musician feuds, throw in a few opinions, and who scraped their nails down the chalkboard? Easy, dude.... relax.
For the record, while I don't listen to any Zakk Wylde material on a regular basis I highly respect his ability. But I find his personality more entertaining - whether he's on a soapbox about something or some of his video outtakes on YouTube...the guy always has something to say and it's either venomous or downright hilarious.

Very unusual that multiple people would have the same trip. Unless you discussed it among yourselves and made it happen.

Yes, it was unusual, but I have had others tell me similar happenings when a group of people tapped into "other" realities. Who knows.witchhunt wrote:undercoverjoe wrote:In the mid 70's, myself and a group of great friends went to an all day concert which included Santana and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. Led Zeppelin does not need Robert Plant to go on tour. Alvin & The Chipmunks just released a new record with their version of Zep's Rock & Roll. Take a listen here. Alvin sure can hit those high notes!

I have to copy and send this to someone in Lousiana who thinks snoopy iz kewl.

For the record, I never cared for Led Zepplin, Zakk, or Ozzy for that matter. They all have songs I like and will nod my head to, but they just don't do it for me.
I do personally think Zakk is a chump, but what do I know...I suck. The man has great skill, but if you have a shitty attitude it really scars the way people view you. I mean, I know the man could dance circles around most people on a guitar...but when I see him all I can think is 'Ah, I drink alot and do pinch harmonics all night, and wear this huge chain and vest to look tough! Grrr'
I can't take him seriously. Maybe someday though. Who knows.
