amazing - you dont see too many modern day cds on that list - despite downloading on the internet, and ipods - you'd still think kids would flock to buy cds today..

even though im not a big fan of them - i was completely suprised to not see Linkin Park's "Hybrid Theory" cd on any of those lists.. shocking..

The downloading of the cd's is why you don't see modern day on there. It could also be for the fact that people know the biggest majority of the modern day music sucks as well. You couls also blame the RIAA for the slump in record sales, too.

You could also say it takes a little time to sell 10 million copies of anything so it's all a little "dated". Five years from now you'll start seeing
big acts from today. Modern music has sucked since the beatles. (Everyone is a purist of some sort.)

I am surprised that "Dark Side Of The Moon" ranked so low. You would think, with it being on the longest running chart topping album in history, that it would be up around the top five. I am also upset for the fact that Floyd's best one "The Final Cut" wasn't on there.
