That would make $ too. People were going crazy for the Priest at ozzfest a few years ago. I hate to say it, but they stole the show from Slayer and Sabbath. Probably cause it was the 1st time since 92 or 93 since Pittsburgh saw them together? I'm thinkin anyway. They sounded so good too. I'll never forget when the first chords of 'Electric Eye' came rippin through the place, everyone went fuckin crazy!! That was one of the best days I've ever had. I'll never forget. Never saw Maiden, but I love them as well. Since my old man gave me the Powerslave cassette when I was 6 or 7 years old. Yeah he corrupted me! In a good way.

Halford's Crucible and Resurrection albums were great! but it wasnt the same though. I would have still loved to have seen that. He has THE metal voice. Tim Owens was a good replacement though. The Ripper is one of my fav. singers. I love the Winter's Bane 'Heart of a Killler' album, and his stuff w/ Iced Earth was awesome, and the new band Beyond Fear is great too. Check it out ppl. if you like this kind of stuff.

I loved his band "Fight." It's like heavier Priest!

I'm thinking this was J-Town. Remember Whitesnake was the dick in the middle.

Rush & Candlebox.

Granted, I've seen Rush 5 times...but this was the best pairing.

My 2 older brothers saw them on the Never Say Die tour in '78 with Van Halen opening.
My one brother still has a shirt and still won't give it up.

I have seen quite a few really good tour lineups but one that stands out as a perfect match was Dixie Dregs and Dream Theater. Dixie Dregs (playing with their original lineup including Steve Morse on guitar and Rod Morgenstein on drums except Jerry Goodman from Mahavishnu Orchestra was on violin) was the opener and they were fantastic. Dream Theater was terrific. This show was in a medium size club in the strip district of Pittsburgh. These two progressive rock bands have many overlapping connections including Jordan Rudess playing keyboards for both bands. I got to see many incredible musicians that night and two of the most outstanding drummers all in the same night.
