Im finishing up SRV's version of voodoo chile (its more like MY version, cause ya know, what fun is it to play that kinda stuff verbatim) and starting into SRV's rude mood.

Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

Wow

I'm just bustin' yer stones a little.

It's great to have a well rounded repatoire, havin' a little something for everyone ensures lots of gigs if you do it well. It's especially cool if you enjoy the majority of the tunes you're playing. There's also a few in that list that I haven't heard anyone cover in a loooooong time. That is cool.

Hey, when I think "mental," I think of you, Toona!

Kinda disappeared, didn't ya brutha? I hope you're working on your next gig, we miss you'ns.
Right now, I'm working on repainting my front porch, trying to adjust to the new dobro (it's darker and more complex, for one, and strangely, I'm having trouble adjusting to the fret markers, which are really important to dobro guys), and I'm patiently waiting for someone to play hookie from work and share the gas money for a day of fishing. I have the kayaks & canoe, some kickass places to fish, and plenty of know-how... just need someone to drive the chase car. No whitewater, nothing but scenery and beans. Anyone? Weekdays only, I'm playing on the weekends.------>JMS

I was working on some original tapping passages that have a Stu Hamm type of feel to them that I want to utilize in an original number.
I'm also going to be getting ready to drop Man in the Box down to D. The original is in Eb; we always played it in standard 440, so it was a half step above the original. Dropping it to D will really make hitting the vocals a lot easier. Also, after not playing it since October, I'll be getting Living on a Prayer ready again.
Also, I'm anxiously awaiting a new Icon 5 from Carvin that I ordered as a celebration for my transition between being a poor college student to becoming a poor graduate student.

Prolly have to take a canoe. My big ass would most likely sink a Kayak.
I heard they were catching lakers and big walleyes below the spillway.
Lemme know. I'm into it. No beans for me, but hey that's more for you.

With FedUP- Took a few weeks off and I'm writing some lyrics That are angrier than ever(Fuel prices and our current Govt leaders are good for something). Can't wait to get some new shit rippin, plus heading into the studio at the beginning of August.
With The Basement Alcoholics (TBA)-Writing Some New Jams That are just plain fun, dirty, punk rock and roll (Just how it should be).
These guys are fun to rock out with and we'll be doing a 3 way split vinyl 7 inch sometime in June or July with Fedup and The Scraps.
Both Bands Are going great and I feel really lucky to be able to jam with such great, talented dudes.

I have been messing around with a cool program I downloaded called the Guitar Speed trainer.
It is filled with great exercises and tips for accuracy and dexterity.
The cool thing is you can even make your own exercises.
It starts you off at a slow speed then bumps you up to your peak speed then brings you back down to a comfortable speed for the riff. It has definitely increased my right and left hand dexterity and accuracy.
I got it from http://inethouse.info - software, movies, etc - join this, you wont get spam and you can use search functions
You just have to register and there's ton's of cool shit to download.
Everything from programs to music to video to porn.
I love that website.
