Definitely impressive. At the higher speeds, it certainly sounds like a bumblebee. Even if you're a speed hater, you have to credit him with technique, for sure.

Man, the action on his guitar has to be just above touching the fret, and it doesn't even look like it's a scalloped fretboard. I thought 230 bmp was the best. After that, it's just not that musical.

And, David Garrett breaks violin world speed record - average 13 notes per second

Not to mention weights, and probably tons of stamina exercises. If the translation was right, and if on top of that, if the announcer was accurate about it, the dude spent 16 hours a day (maybe at some points?) of his life DEDICATED to practicing, playing, and learning! That is mostly EVERY waking hour spent towards that! That is a LOT of time!
Paul...do I even WANT to ask how you might possibly know that??

Is this for real?
I must say that I was impressed, however, and I know this is goin to get some real shitty comebacks and laughs, but the guitar player for DragonForce is a speed demon as well.
Having talent is one thing....what you do with it is something else

My point is, it's a guinness record, it doesn't care what you prefer. Not trying to be a dick, but this thread has nothing to do with feeling, it has to do with a guitar speed record. Anyway, I was impressed, I don't see where the whole "speed isn't everything" or "I prefer feeling" had to come into play here. Just sayin.gibson980 wrote:And your point? I said its very impressive?
