The script was written, and the villian was cast. The provocation needed, they will provide. They did it before, they'll do it again.
225 @5'11" w/o an ounce of fat?? i wouldn't want to have a problem with himFlaw wrote:225 isn't really that big for a football player.gosteelers wrote:he's listed @225lb. yea, just a "little" guy. what could he doDrumAndDestroy wrote:big matt spaeth was apparently calm...little jeff reed was ready to scrap haha!
that's a fullback, a linebacker!
i weigh 175 and im not big guy. he would be about 50 pounds bigger then me. Kickers arent conditioned like line backers and full backs. granted he may be more built then a normal person but when you compare him to a full back or a line backer, you will notice considerably how different they are in size. plus drumanddestroy was comparing him to matt and he was saying about the smaller guy starting the fightgosteelers wrote:225 @5'!!" w/o an ounce of fat?? i wouldn't want to have a problem with himFlaw wrote:225 isn't really that big for a football player.gosteelers wrote: he's listed @225lb. yea, just a "little" guy. what could he do

yeah...spaeth is listed at a solid 270...he's 6'7. i just found it funny that he wasn't trying to square off on a cop and the smaller (but still athletic) reed was.Flaw wrote:i weigh 175 and im not big guy. he would be about 50 pounds bigger then me. think about it, game ended at 4. Until you leave the field, have the team meeting, shower, get dressed, do your post game interviews and media spots, you won't leave the stadium until 6:00-6:30. And he was arrested around 9 for being drunk...he's dedicated.

well see a kicker doesnt have to be as conditioned as the linebackers, the running backs, or line men. Every position has to prepare differently, you dont expect a wide receiver to be 240lbs trying to run some sort of post route at a 4.3 speed. Kickers yes do condition because there is a possibility that they will have to make a tackle, but their bodies arent put through that much abuse. They hang in the back as the safety in case someone breaks one out, and usually make tripping tackles or push someone out of bounds.bsaller wrote:As far as strength these guys grip strengh is about 175 Lbs. or better. That goes for all positions. The kicker may have to tackle someone sometime!
Now this is a whole other debate in my mind. Reed just like a lot of the steelers do a lot of work in the community, whether its at a children hospital, educational funding, or whatever. You will never hear about this on the local news because its so common in Pittsburgh and its boring for readers, but just like any celebrity, the news would rather report on him for getting drunk and getting into it with a cop then all the good he has done. I mean just because he was a temper when hes drunk doesnt mean hes a bad guy...you just dont want to be around him when hes drunk. If it was me or you that did that we wouldnt show up in the paper for about 6 months in but it would be in a 2"x1" square called police reports. He is starting to get a bad rep. Not some one I would want my kid to look up to.

Do you remember Reed beating the hell out of a towel dispenser at the New Alexandria Sheetz?
