A song from your past that you will never listen to again ?

Post by f.sciarrillo »

I was thinking about this while I was going through my catalog of songs and listening to Lionel Richie and the Commodores. Him in general brings back some pretty good memories, however, there is one song from my past that I will never listen to again because of the significance it has. I am wondering what yours would be ? You don't have to say why or anything, as I won't tell you why with mine, so don't even ask ;)

That song I will never listen to again is November Rain - GNR.

Who else?

The script was written, and the villian was cast. The provocation needed, they will provide. They did it before, they'll do it again.

Its not so much that I wont listen to a song, but if a certain song comes on and takes me back to a bad memory or something I wont turn it off or not listen to it, I just remember that time in my life and how screwed up it was or how bad it was and remember where I am now. Hate looking at the negative crap anymore

But on a band basis - Knockin on Heavens Door for a couple of really screwed up reasons.

That hey y'all song by outkast or some other rapper, not because anything bad happened while listening to it, just because it annoyed the bejesus outta me.

Most of those old, "I can't listen to this..." feelings from a lot of songs with a tagged meaning/association have faded, fortunately. But there were a fair few songs I couldn't listen to at different points throughout my life...

Marilyn Manson (in general)
Weezer - Buddy Holly
Journey (in general)
Alice In Chains (in general)
Pantera - Cemetary Gates
Flaw - Wait For Me
Evanescance - My Immortal

And I'm sure there are more as well

It was a rumor. He was on VH1 not too long ago. Something about the top most memorable songs. He was saying that he wishes he had never written that song ..

Even though i dont like the song that much, it made no freakin sense whatsoever and I wushed he would have never recorded it. The video was stupid and made Chris Reeves and Robin Williams look like a couple of queers
