One of his earliest films was when he played a crazy guy (almost always a part he played) in Clint Eastwood's Hang'em High. He also played in a couple of John Wayne movies.
Great actor who didnt care of his character. In Speed, which i though was a sucky movie he played his character to a T.

My two favorite movies with Dennis Hopper are Blue Velvet and True Romance.

This crazy scene with Dennis Hopper is off the charts, especially with Dean Stockwell (so suave).
