Very fake.
Very easy to tell. There is a reason the camera angle does not move during the entire dance.

Cool video none the less.

dont be so sure. Dancing isnt fake. Watch the cars in the window. they arent sped down.

Yeah, tripods are just a crazy idea. No one would ever use one of those.

edit-
Btw, I really dont care if its fake or not...just "the camera doesnt move" is a crazy piece of "evidence". Since tripods are around.

Sorry to be that guy that rains on the parade but....

There are two effects.

The first effect is called layer masking. You can take a video or still image of a scene without any moviing objects. Then you take another one with objects.

I made this video last year. You can skip to 1:08 if to see the effect. the video is shot with twice. Once with him in the picture and once with out.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avenfGA9j6Y

This provides you blank pallet to layer your video over.

Here is another silly video I made of masking where a fake light saber is added in. Skip to 2:40
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MJERUyvsys

The shadows and lighting in the video are created digitally with ray tracing.
The dancing is probably done with some sort of wire frame animation.

This is a great video but the guy is not really dancing. It's computer animation.
I can can assure you that Tom Pavic is not really a vampire.
&
I can assure you that my nephew does not own a real light saber.

HAHAHA. youve got to be kidding me. Youre saying the guy is FAKE???
    You must be watchign a different video, haha.
I thought you were just saying it was slowed down.

About your video examples of effects...
That lightsaber video is prob the worst lightsaber effect ive ever seen. Sorry man, That lightsaber is waaay fake looking. Of course I wouldnt believe it was a real lightsaber. I get that you wanted to show some of your videos on here though. Check out some of the other light saber videos made by 15 yr olds on youtube that are way better. Im not trying to be a jerk, but that just wasnt a good example at all for convincing video effects

Here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NE5elL30w4
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-is63goe ... re=related
those arent really light sabers. They wouldve been a better example of home made cgi.

On to thew other video, I think you have makeup and CGI confused. That vampire character is a real person with make up on. What does make up have to do the video we have been discussing? Nothing at all. You also mentioned a fake lighting scene. You pointed to a scene that was an outside show. You "faked" an outside shot? WHY??? Outside really exists!! I would say that is a prime example of overkill if you faked a sunny forest scene. We live in Pennsylvania, not the desert. Sunny forests are everywhere bro.

Youre also saying that the scene is fake in the dancing video? Are you serious? You dont see the reflection in the windows??? Did you really look at the scene? I like CGI as much as the next guy, but none of it is CGI dude.
CGI isnt THAT convincing yet. It will be, just not yet. A fake human looks fake, not like a real human.

Just do a google search on that style of dancing. Youll see many more "fake videos". ;)

You didnt rain on anyone's parade, apparently I have a really big umbrella. :D

I'd say it's real, although there are a few unexplainables in the video. Look at 17secs, the way "something" kinda shows up. And just before the video ends, there's something flittering around. If someone could explain those, I'd just consider it good enough

Thanks for the kind words. The point of the video was to show two layers of video. I guess the halloween video was terrible as well?

Here's the orginial one on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXO-jKksQkM

There is a layer at 3:05. Look at his left forearm. There is essentially a fake left arm on the guy. That is animated. Look how his sudden movements do not cause his shirt to bounce on his forearm while the rest of his shirt looks natural
And at 3:32 they go back to the real video of him walking around.

at 5:22 you can see the background mask change back. Watch the stone wall in the corner get darker when they switch the video.

Rob's video looks real but this one is definately edited.

Flood-You left some straws on the floor, keep grasping at them.

The guy is a real person, its a real dance, its not a fake video. Sorry. I cant keep debating something that is just so obvious to anyone with eyes. You saw in the other video that the guy is a real person.

I said I wasnt trying to insult your video. You are better at video editing than I am. I cant knock that. I was just stating that the effect used wasnt a good example for anything looking real. Which was the point of our convo. Thats why I posted lightsaber videos that look amazing and were even made by kids. THOSE look real.

This is turning into a debate of JFK Assassination Conspiracy proportions, so we should prob end it. Haha. Its just a dude dancing.

Watch some parkour videos of people doing awesome jumps and stunts. I bet those are fake too.
