Proud Dad Moment here

Had to share this with you all. My daughter , Brianna Sheeder, graduates from High School in a few weeks then its off to college. She is attending Full Sail University in Florida to study Audio Engineering. Her advisor there encouraged her to try for the Creative Arts scholarship. She had to write an essay first, from that she got chosen to move to the 2nd round. For the second round she had to write and record an original song. She did just that and last friday found out that out of 180 applicants she was one of 10 who received a $35,000 scholarship! I am so proud of her, all those years of her singing and playing paid for her!

That's awesome! I have 2 friends who are Full Sail grads who are prominent figures in the music industry. They are top shelf, and it sounds like your daughter is too. They will prepare her for a great career.
My daughter is a 14 year old singer and French Horn and Melphone player, and i can't talk her in to playing any rock music. Is this how children of rock musicians rebel?

Thanks everyone, I am very proud, and cant wait to hear some of the stuff she ets to do once she is there. Just saw that this week, Dave Mustaine was hanging out at the school this week. Also, 45 graduates from the school apparently worked in the new Avengers movie too
