Marty "Scrap" R.I.P.

Marty Tagliati - known on local stages as Marty Scrap, the singer and guitarist of Altoona punk trio The Scraps - passed away on Wednesday at age 31. Here is the obituary from the Altoona Mirror's website:

Marty had been battling health issues over the past few years. It's sad to lose somebody at so young an age. Rest in peace, Marty.

This is just heartbreaking news. Marty was a good person. A genuinely good, nice person. A rarity in these days. I haven't spoken with him in about 2 years, I had hoped he had gotten better.
We used to make fun of each other all the time, but it was all in a good natured fun way. I dont think Marty had a mean bone in his body.

Shit. This just sucks.
