what is a good way to rip the logo off a cab without tearing up the cloth?

I'd try steaming it, either with a clothes steamer or an iron. That might work.

If it's glued on, try using a heat gun or a hair dryer and get the glue soft enough to slide it off.
If it's screwed on, use a screw driver! (jk)
If's it's held on with a some sort of quazar gamma field, then use the Force Luke!

it is a marshall logo on a 1960 cab. that is the only thing i have of marshall and i want to take it off. i wouldnt really call it a marshall anyway. i got the cab unloaded and put tubbies in it. i would call it a built by marshall tubby cab.

Most Marshall Logo's have 5 pins with either fasteners, heat staking or glue (not stock) on the back. You will need to remove one or two of the speakers to get to the pins on the back of the logo. If there are fasteners, just pull them off. If the pins are glued or heat staked, you may need to clip them off from the back.
