This started life out as a KVX10 King V, which I cut the wing down to look like a Rhoads. I wish that I had one to trace the shape from, but I had to eye ball it from an old Jackson catalog.
It came out looking damn close.
I filled in the old control routing, and relocated the controls. Also filled in the neck pickup with a block of wood.
Not sure on what bridge I'm going with yet.
Currently it has an Original non fine tuner floyd, with the trem block removed and it's screw directly to the top of the body, but that's definitely coming off.
I'm thinking about Black with White bevels and a Jackson neck w/ a Maple board and black sharkfins like on the new Dinky DK2M's
** Here's some other option's that I am considering**
- Orange w/ a Black Bengal finish
- Black w/ Pink Bevels
My other V project was originally an all original '83 Kramer Flying V.
I am relocating the controls, and the jack. The neck pickup is also getting filled in.
I am thinking about painting it Black like Robbin Crosby's Jackson V.
**Other options**
- Black w/ White Polka Dots (but probably not)
- Bright Red with a White '67 Gibson V pickguard to look like K.K. Downing's V
I'll post pictures of the Kramer V when I get some time.
